During the late Winter months of February, March and April, the Umbrian weather can be unpredictable and sometimes cold, although there are usually warm sunny days as well.  

During this period, the house downstairs can be heated by a pellet stufa in the  dining room/kitchen and a large open fire in the sitting room.  Fuel for both of these is provided.  

Upstairs, there are electric blankets on the beds and electric blow heaters if necessary

Cupboard full of beautiful Deruta ceramic plates, bowls and mugs.
